However, many challenges can arise that can shorten the duration of breastfeeding. One of the most common challenges is having to go back to work or school. My experience growing up in a multicultural home, with a Cuban American mother and a Kuwaiti father, has instilled in me a unique understanding and appreciation for the richness that different cultures bring to the fabric of our society. I find fulfillment in creativity, helping people, and inspiring others to make a positive impact in their communities. My journey has led me to accumulate knowledge and experience in various areas, driven by my fascination with human behavior, the power of technology, and the influence of culture and society on our perceptions and actions. Having pursued academic training in computing with a specialization in human-computer interaction, my love for studying and collaborating with people lead me to gravitate towards health-related topics. I have actively engaged in research in technology to support individuals with autism, diabetes, and accessibility needs. More recently, my personal journey into motherhood has fueled my dedication to developing technology that supports community-based maternity health workers and the mothers and infants they care for.
